What a difference a year makes! I made this vest a year ago, but have not worn it because it just does not "feel" great. It's ok but it's too heavy, the cotton I used was dreadful, too thick the color was different in each ball, there were so many problems.
But I stuck in there, first I knit it on my machine, did not like it, then I frogged, knitted it by hand knit 1 purl 1, I frogged I did not like that either.

Then I finally decided to crochet the whole thing. Not realizing how heavy that made the garments. Here is the difference between the "Parrot" cotton yarn I used this year as opposed to the "Sarga" last year.

I have also gained some experience in shaping so I was able to short row and give a shape to the "parrot" I was able to tweek the pattern. So the "Parrot" is a lightweight, soft and comfortable garment.
